Story of Daisy Mae

Hi! My name is Katy, I'm  married to a wonderful man, Jay. We have three beautiful children together. When I was little my mom taught me to crochet. I remember from a very early age watching my mom crochet.  While I was pregnant with my son, my mom passed away, very unexpectedly at a pretty young age. It was right before that I decided to start crocheting again, because that is what mom's do. My last memories with my mom are of her helping me re-learn the stitches.
When I had my son, he was not a small guy! He was over 10 pounds when he was discharged from the hospital! It was very hard to find hats that fit him. When I became pregnant with my daughter, I decided she needed to have hats! I started crocheting hats to match every outfit! We received so many compliments on her hats, I decided to sell them.
In May of 2009 I launched this blog, not knowing what would happen. My mother in law would take the kids out so I could work on my hats or online, or she would go with me to pick out yarn and colors. She was an amazing support in the begining! By the fall of 2009 I was doing better than I could ever imagine. So many orders it was amazing! Quickly it was almost too much to handle. I eventually caught up and started working again.
In May of 2010 my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer, and things started to all apart. Things at home were a mess. The stress of having so many orders, my husband being out of work, my mother in law being sick, it all became a lot to handle. I tried hard to catch up and keep up, but I did a poor job. I was disorganized and had a lot on my plate. In December my mother in law lost her battle. At the same time my father in law was fighting cancer also, and my husband took the entire month of January to go out and be with him in Phoenix. I very immaturally decided to avoid everything having to do with my business. I didn't have the time or energy to deal with how much more I had to do.
In February I went back to work full time, while keeping a part time job also. It has been a lot to handle. I have missed doing the hats. I've been disappointed in myself for not doing better and nervous that I would mess it up again. After a lot of prayer and planning, I have decided to re-open. I hope that I can regain your trust and loyalty. I know that I am offering you a quality product, now I hope to provide you with extraordinary customer service!
Thank all of you for your support, business, thoughts and prayers over the last few years. I sincerely appreciate it and hope to be doing business with you!
